Well Oscar Night has come and gone and we're left with a new crop of "best" movies from on of the truly standout years for movies. As far as predictions go, correctly naming 14 out of 24 winners isn't half bad (in fact, it's bit bit better than half good). The acting and animation categories definitely tripped me up this year (although they were hardly the only ones that did).

So yes, in the end, Becky beat me by a single prediction: 15 to 14. God knows that I won't hear the end of that for a long time (although it's admittedly half as long as I'd let her live it down if the situations were reversed).
Later this week I will be sure to address some of the surprises and fallout from this year's ceremony (back-to-back Mexican Best Director wins, Wes Anderson's screenplay loss and whatever happened to the lead performance front runners). There are a few more surprises that I have up my sleeve for the immediate future, so stay tuned to see what happens around my neck of the woods after Award Season ends.
